High School Bus Pass Information:

All High School students riding the school bus will require a Full year or a Second semester bus pass. All First semester Bus passes expire December 31st, 2018. Full year Bus Passes expire May 31st , 2019. If you qualify for the free and reduced lunch program we will waive the bus pass fee, a current food service letter will be rquired at the time the pass is issued. Second semester bus passes are $100.00. There is a $10.00 processing fee for All Bus Passes Issued (including the free and reduced lunch passes).

The student must be present to have a photo taken at the beginning of each school year.

Bus Pass Costs:

  • $100 each semester, plus one-time $10 processing fee
  • With approval letter for Free & Reduced Lunches (letter must be presented in person at time of bus pass purchase): Only the one-time $10 processing fee
  • Beginning August 20th, 2018 students without a first semester bus pass or the full year pass will not be able to ride the school bus and a $10.00 late fee will be applied.
  • Beginning January 22nd, 2019 students without a second semester bus pass or the full year pass will not be able to ride the school bus and a $10.00 late fee will be applied.
  • Lost bus pass replacement fee $10.00.

The Antelope Valley Schools Transportation Agency is looking for School Bus Drivers and Certified School Bus Drivers with a positive attitude and a desire to work in the largest School Bus Transportation Agency in the Antelope Valley. We currently provide student transportation to 4 School Districts: Antelope Valley Union High School District, Lancaster and Westside Districts. AVSTA offers an excellent compensation package which includes Retirement with Public Employee Retirement System (PERS), full individual health coverage for employees and a starting wage of $14.72 an hour with a minimum guarantee of 5.20 hours.


AVSTA provides paid School bus driver training.

A new class is starting soon so turn in your application along with an H6 Driving report (get one at DMV).
