SMART-Tag (The “New” Bus Pass) will be implemented over the course of the 2019-2020 School Year. The program will be implemented in stages for each school district. Students will receive a SMART-Tag pass on the first day of implementation for their group. It is the goal of the Agency to have all bus riders utilizing the system as well as the SMART-Tag Parent Portal completed. The parent portal will be available for those parents whose students are using the SMART-Tag system. This system has been developed to help us eliminate certain types of communication breakdowns. We expect to be operating all phases by mid to late spring.

Westside Union School District:
Replacement passes are $5.00 each. See a school staff member in the front office to order a replacement pass. After the order has been processed, students will receive their new replacement pass from their school bus driver.
Lancaster School District:
Students will receive replacement passes at no charge. After an order has been processed, students will receive their new replacement pass from their school bus driver. Place an order with the school’s front office staff, the Welcome and Wellness Center, 44226 10th St. West; Lancaster; CA; 93534; (661) 471-8400 from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, or at the AVSTA office, 670 West Ave. L-8; Lancaster; Ca; 93534; 8:00am – 4:00 pm; (661) 945-3621. You may also place an order on the AVSTA website, www.avsta.com on the Smart-Tag portal.
Antelope Valley Union High School District:
Students are required to pay a $5.00 replacement fee and must pick up their replacement pass located at AVSTA; 670 West Avenue L-8; Lancaster, CA 93534. A replacement pass may be ordered in person or from the AVSTA website. Payment must be made in person at AVSTA, at this time we accept cash, check or money orders only.
